The Alliance News Team has continued to expand, with some new members and some new roles.
Most significantly, our market reporting is being taken to the next level with the appointment of Jon Darby as Senior Markets Reporter. Jon will be familiar to anyone who reads an AllNews MARKET COMMENT, IN THE KNOW or TAKING AIM. He has been covering the ups and downs of London stocks for Alliance News for over a year now, switching to journalism after four years as a senior dealer on the FX/Treasury desk of FIBI Bank (UK).
Joining Jon on the Markets desk is Neil Thakrar, a new recruit to Alliance News. Neil joins us with a freshly minted Economics degree from Loughborough University and work-experience stints at Goldman Sachs and Citigroup.
Moving over from the Markets desk, James Kemp has taken on the new role of Business Development Executive.
The early morning hours are the key time of day for both the London stock market and for Alliance News, and this is now under the command and control of our new slot editor Sam Unsted. Sam has joined the AllNewsTeam from Precise. He arrives hot on 6 am to ensure Alliance News get a head start on the trading day.
Finally, Joshua Warner has joined Alliance News as our new Resources reporter, covering mining and oil & gas companies.
